ToggleWHAT HAPPENED?
Liverpool stayed top of the Premier League following their hard-fought win against the Blues on Sunday but the main blemish was the injury to forward Jota. The 27-year-old was subbed off on the half hour mark as he could not continue and now manager Slot believes Jota is a doubt for this week's Champions League clash away at RB Leipzig.

WHAT ARNE SLOT SAID
After the match, the former Feyenoord manager said on Jota's injury: “Diogo had to be substituted and I am not sure what it is, but I’d be surprised if he is there on Wednesday.”

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Jota has scored four goals in all competitions this season – with only Mohamed Salah and Luis Diaz scoring more than him for Liverpool in 2024-25. Losing him will be a big blow for the Reds as they try to fight for silverware this term.

WHAT NEXT?
If Jota does indeed miss Liverpool's trip to RB Leipzig on Wednesday, the Reds will hope the Portugal international is back fit for either the trip to Arsenal in the Premier League next Sunday or the Carabao Cup clash away to Brighton on October 30.
